Wholesale Vacuum Flasks from China

The vacuum flask is a physics product wearing a finish. A double wall with the air drawn out between them does the insulating, and everything else, the paint, the lid, the logo, is around it. That structure is why the category’s failures are so consistent: a flask that looks perfect and performs like a plain bottle is a vacuum that was never properly drawn or has a leak, and no photograph can show it.

We have sourced flasks out of Yongkang for five years. The same three failures come back. A flask that passed the sample bench loses heat in bulk because the vacuum draw was rushed. A seal that held on the sample weeps in a bag, which is the complaint that ends corporate gift programmes. And a painted finish that looked clean on the sample chips at the base in bulk because the pretreatment was shortened.

This page covers what the vacuum and seal words mean, what belongs on the order sheet, and the checks that catch a weak lot. The wider category map is in our wholesale kitchenware overview.

Vacuum, vessel and seal

The inner vessel is the surface the drink touches, and the 304 stainless grade is the honest default for food contact. Lower grades look identical and stain sooner. The grade belongs on the invoice, and the same magnet logic that applies to cookware applies here as a crude first check.

The vacuum is the performance itself. A properly drawn vacuum holds heat for the hours the box claims; a weak one delivers a flask that is merely a double-walled bottle. Performance is testable in minutes: fill with hot water, cap, wait, and read the temperature against the claim. That test belongs in every pre-shipment inspection for this category, because it is the only one that measures the product’s actual job.

The seal is where gifts fail. A gasket that recovers after compression keeps a bag dry; one that sets flat weeps within weeks. The material and the fit of the gasket, and the threading of the lid, decide it. The leak test is physical and simple: fill, cap, invert, wait. It belongs in the specification rather than in the hope that nobody checks.

Specifications and minimum order

Our minimum order is 1 piece, so you can start with a single unit and scale up once the sample is approved. Every line below changes what the factory builds. We do not print prices or schedules here, because steel and coating inputs move; send us the capacity, the finish and the quantity, and we come back with a live quotation and a firm production slot.

Specification What to confirm before you order
Inner vessel 304 grade named for the food-contact surface, with the report reference
Heat retention the hours claimed, and the test method used to measure it
Seal gasket material and the leak test the lot must pass
Lid style and mechanism, since gift and travel lids fail differently
Finish painted, powder-coated or bare steel, with the pretreatment named
Branding logo method and position, referenced to a physical sample
Minimum order stated per finish and capacity, since each is its own production run

Minimums in this category track vessel sizes and coating runs, and one capacity in one finish is the most consistent way to start. Our sourcing service covers the factory screening, the sample round and the performance tests below.

What the finish and branding words mean

A painted finish is a process, not a colour. Pretreatment, application and curing decide whether the paint survives a year of bags and dishwashers, and the curing step is the first thing shortened when a schedule tightens. The scratch test at inspection is honest: a thumbnail through a poorly cured finish shows the metal, and so will the customer’s bag within a month.

Branding on a flask is usually laser or print. Laser engraving removes the coating and cannot wear off; print sits on it and wears with it. For corporate gift programmes, where the logo is the product, the method belongs on the order sheet in writing, with the position defined against a feature of the flask rather than by eye.

Two practical points complete the set. Flasks ship boxed individually, and the box is what the customer sees first, so the box quality is part of the product for gift channels. And the mouth finish matters for lid fit: a thread that is slightly off makes the lid cross-thread, which reads as a defective seal even when the gasket is fine.

What belongs in the purchase order

One page attached to the PO is what protects the reorder. Cover these points:

Inspection points that catch a weak lot

These checks find what a product photograph cannot:

An independent inspection before loading catches all five at the cheapest point, and the heat retention test is the one that separates a flask from a bottle. Factory inspection covers this category, and the supply towns behind it are mapped in our kitchenware hotspots guide.

Frequently asked questions

How is heat retention honestly specified?

As hours to a stated temperature, measured by a stated method. A claim without a method is marketing. The test is cheap, so require it on the bulk lot during inspection, and the claim becomes a specification instead of a promise.

Which lid style survives gift use?

A simple threaded lid with a good gasket outlasts every clever mechanism. Push buttons and flip lids fail at the spring and the seal, and they fail in bags first. For corporate programmes the simple lid with an engraved logo is the dependable build.

Can flasks be branded after production?

Laser branding can be applied to bare or coated steel, but planning it into production gives better positioning and finish. Print after production wears sooner. For programmes where the logo is the point, brand during production and reference the position to a physical sample.
