Warehousing, Packing and Labelling for Importers
An order rarely leaves China the moment it is finished. The first factory delivers in week three, the second in week five, the labels arrive a week after that, and the vessel you booked sails whether your goods are ready or not. Somebody has to receive, check, store and prepare all of it in between.
That is the part we take off your desk. Goods arrive at our Guangzhou address, we check them against the packing list, and they stay with us until you are ready to ship.
What happens when your goods arrive
- We receive the delivery and count every carton against the packing list you gave us
- We photograph the cartons as they arrived, so damage or a short delivery is documented at the point it happened rather than after a sea crossing
- We open and check the units on any order where you asked for an inspection, and file the result against that product in our archive
- We label, re-pack or re-label as the marketplace requires and keep the stock until your shipment is booked
Packing and labelling work we handle
- Product labels: barcode, FNSKU, batch or date codes, warning text and country of origin
- Retail packing: poly bags with the correct warning, gift boxes, blister packs, sets assembled from separate suppliers
- Carton work: master carton labelling, carton marks, mixed cartons, size and weight marked as the carrier requires
- Marketplace preparation: units labelled and bagged to the retailer’s own specification before they leave China
- Sorting a multi-supplier order into one shipment, so nothing sits in a factory waiting for a container that has already left
Storage and release
We hold finished goods until your shipment is ready, and release them against your written instruction. Every item keeps its own record: the specification, the approved sample, the inspection note and the carton count. When you reorder the same product six months later, that file is what the factory quotes against, and what we check the new delivery against.
If you need a pre-shipment inspection at the same time, it is booked as one job rather than two, so the goods are checked once and packed once.
What you need to send us
- The packing list for each delivery, with the carton count and the product codes
- The label artwork or the label file the marketplace gave you
- Any instruction that affects packing: bundling, fragile items, expiry dates, mixed cartons
- Your forwarder’s details, or use ours through our shipping service
Frequently asked questions
Can you receive goods from suppliers you did not source for me?
Yes. Plenty of buyers use us purely as the receiving point. The delivery arrives, we count and photograph it, and it joins the rest of your shipment.
How do you keep track of what you are holding?
By carton and by product code, against the packing list. We send you a stock note for anything we are holding, and you release it in writing when you are ready to ship.
Can you re-label goods that arrived with the wrong barcode?
Yes, that is one of the most common jobs we do. Send the correct label file and we relabel the units or the cartons before they ship.
Where are the goods held?
In Guangzhou, close to the port and the airport, which keeps both the inland move and the loading time short.
Send us the order you want us to hold
Tell us what is coming, which supplier it is coming from and how you want it packed. We will confirm the receiving details and what we will check on arrival.
See all our services or send the details through the contact page and we will come back with a plan.
