Content Marketing for Private Label Brands
A private label brand is a specification and a story. The specification comes from the factory. The story is what makes a buyer choose your listing over an identical one, and it is usually written at midnight by someone who has never seen the product.
We write from the product file. Because we hold the specification, the sample photographs and the inspection record, the copy can be specific about material, construction and what the product actually does.
What we write
- Product descriptions: feature and benefit sets built from the real specification rather than from a template
- Listing copy: titles, bullet points and descriptions written within the character limits each platform enforces
- Buying guides: the long form pages that answer what a first time buyer asks before ordering
- Category and collection copy: the wording that explains a product range and holds a set of pages together
- Email: the sequence around a launch, and the follow-ups that keep a buyer from reordering elsewhere
- Text for A+ modules and image captions, matched to the shoot
How a content project runs
- You send the products, the market and the listings you are competing with
- We agree the search term each page or listing is meant to win, in the language your buyers actually search in
- We write from the specification and the shoot, and flag every claim that needs a certificate or a test behind it
- You review, we revise, and the files are delivered ready to use
What you get
- Copy that can be defended, because no claim is made that the specification does not support
- A consistent voice across the range, so the brand reads the same on every page
- Text and images drawn from one product file, which is why they agree with each other
- One agreed search term per page, chosen before writing rather than after
Where this sits beside design
Copy and artwork are one job. We plan the packaging and artwork together with the text, so the claims printed on the carton, the claims in the listing and the claims in a guide say the same thing.
Frequently asked questions
Can you write in a language other than English?
English is where we work as standard. For other markets we write the source copy in English and have it translated, then check the translation against the specification so a technical term is not lost on the way.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. What we commit to is that each page is written around an agreed search term, the structure is clean, and the claims are accurate. Anything further would be a promise we cannot keep.
Do you need access to my store?
No. We deliver text files and images. If you would rather we uploaded them, that can be arranged, but the store stays under your control either way.
