Wholesale Angle Grinders from China

An angle grinder is the most demanding power tool to buy responsibly, because it spins an abrasive disc at high speed close to the operator. The performance conversation and the safety conversation are the same conversation, and a buyer who treats them separately ends up with a tool that cannot be sold.

Angle grinder with side handle and guard displayed on a white background The photograph shows a representative grinder from the category. Disc size, guard style and handle layout follow the approved sample, and the image is illustrative rather than a picture of your goods.

We have sourced angle grinders and abrasive tooling out of the Zhejiang and Jiangsu clusters for years. Three failures repeat. A grinder sold at a stated wattage arrives with a motor that only reaches that figure briefly. A guard that fitted the sample arrives with a thinner gauge that flexes. And a spindle lock or a handle mount that was solid on the sample arrives with thread that strips after a few disc changes.

This page covers what the power, guard and spindle words mean, what belongs on the order sheet, and the checks that catch a weak lot. The supply base behind the category is in our wholesale hardware and tools overview.

Motor, guard and spindle

The motor rating is the headline number and the one most often quoted generously. Input power and output power are different figures, and a label that quotes input power describes consumption rather than work. The specification should state which figure is meant and how it is measured.

Speed matters as much as power, because an abrasive disc is rated for a maximum surface speed. A grinder whose no load speed exceeds the disc rating is a mismatch, and the two figures have to be read together rather than separately.

The guard and the spindle are the operator protection, and both are easy to economise on. A guard has to resist a disc burst rather than merely cover the wheel, and the spindle lock and the handle mount take repeated load every time a disc is changed.

Specifications and minimum order

Our minimum order is 1 piece, so you can start with a single unit and scale up once the sample is approved. Every line below changes what the factory builds and what documents travel with the goods. We do not print prices or schedules here, because motor and component inputs move; send the disc size, the power class and the quantity, and we come back with a live quotation and a firm production slot.

Specification What to confirm before you order
Power rating input or output power, named, with the measurement method
No load speed the rated speed, checked against the disc maximum
Disc size the disc diameter the tool is built for, and the spindle thread
Guard gauge, fixing method and how it behaves under a burst
Spindle lock the mechanism and the thread quality on the handle mount
Switch slide or paddle, and whether it is a dead man style
Pedido mínimo stated per model and per voltage, since motors are wound in batches

Minimums in power tools are driven by the motor winding batch and the certification cost, so one model across a small accessory range is the cheapest way to start. Our sourcing service covers the factory screening, the sample round and the inspections below.

What the power and safety words mean in practice

Input and output power differ by roughly the efficiency of the motor, and the gap is where the marketing sits. A tool labelled with an input figure is describing what it draws, while a user cares about what it delivers to the disc. Asking which figure is quoted is the first useful question in this category.

Disc speed compatibility is a safety requirement rather than a preference. Every abrasive disc carries a maximum speed, and a grinder whose no load speed exceeds it puts the operator at risk of a burst. The two numbers belong side by side on the order sheet.

Guard integrity is the last line of defence and the part most frequently thinned. A guard is meant to contain fragments if a disc fails, and that is a question of gauge and mounting rather than coverage. A guard that flexes by hand is a guard that will not do its job.

What belongs in the purchase order

Inspection points that catch a weak lot

These checks find what a product photograph cannot:

An independent inspection before loading catches all five at the cheapest point. Factory inspection covers this category, and the wider system is set out in our guide to auditing Chinese suppliers.

Preguntas frecuentes

What is the difference between input and output power?

Input power is what the motor draws from the supply; output power is what reaches the spindle. The two differ by the efficiency of the motor, and labels in this category quote whichever figure looks better. Naming the type and the test method removes the ambiguity.

How do I check that a guard is adequate?

Look at the gauge, the fixing method and the coverage over the disc, then try to deflect it by hand. A guard that flexes under finger pressure cannot be expected to contain fragments if a disc fails at speed.

Should the grinder and discs be bought from the same supplier?

They can be, and buying them together is a useful control because the speed compatibility has to hold either way. What matters is that the grinder speed and the disc maximum rating are stated on the same order sheet and checked against each other.
