Cluster matters here because testing standards follow the product type. A clothing cluster that tests to the textile rules and a toy cluster that tests to the toy rules are different supply chains, even when the same buyer orders from both.

Certification is the entry ticket, not the selling point
Into the United States a children’s product needs a Children’s Product Certificate supported by testing at an accredited lab. Into the European Union the toy rules, the textile rules or the stroller standard apply depending on the item. The test report names the model, the material and the factory, so it is requested per product and it has to be reissued when the product changes.
Small parts and cords are where recalls start
Choke hazard testing, button cell batteries, drawstrings on hoods and neck openings, and magnets that a child can swallow. All four are found by testing and inspection rather than by looking at a sample, and all four have taken products off the market.
Fabric grade and shrinkage
Ask for the fabric weight in grams per square meter, the fibre content, and whether it was pre shrunk. A garment made from unshrunk cotton passes inspection and arrives two sizes smaller after the first wash. A wash test on production units settles it.
Labels and marking on both markets
Care labelling, fibre content and country of origin are required, and both markets add their own tracing requirement for children’s items. Review the label artwork before the run, because a missing marking is a whole run of unusable garments.

Yes, with the certificate chain that goes with it. Organic claims need the transaction certificate for the batch, not just a label on the hanger.
What is the minimum order for custom printed clothing?
The factory minimum is in the table above, because printing and dyeing runs are set up per colour. Our minimum is one piece, so a plain stock item or a single sample can be bought without a production run.
Do you inspect baby products before shipment?
Yes, and it is booked with the inspection service rather than added on afterwards. Small parts, stitching, sharp edges and the label set are checked on the production units.
Do I need a separate certificate for every size?
No. Testing follows the model, the material and the construction, so a bodysuit range in the same fabric and the same stitching shares one report. A different fabric, a different print or a different factory is a new test, which is worth knowing before a range grows in five directions at once.
