Product and Packaging Design for Private Label Buyers
A factory will produce exactly what you send them. They will not tell you that the mould will not release cleanly, that the retail carton is too thin for a shelf, or that your label fails the destination market’s labelling rules. Those problems surface after the tooling is paid for.
We work on the product and the packaging before the tooling is cut, so the thing you sell is the thing that can actually be made at your target cost.
What we design
- Product form and structure: drawings and three-dimensional renders a factory can quote and tool from
- Packaging structure: retail cartons, inserts, blister and rigid boxes, sized for the shelf and for the shipping carton
- Artwork and labelling: front and back panel layout, ingredient and care panels, barcode placement, and the compliance marks your destination market expects
- Private label ranges: a consistent design language across several products so they read as one brand
- Marketplace assets: main image framing, comparison panels and A+ content structure for Amazon listings
How it works
- You send the reference, the target market and the price you need to hit
- We produce concepts and a cost estimate against your factory’s real tooling and material options
- You choose, we refine, and we prepare production-ready files
- We stay with the factory through the first sample run, so what was designed is what gets made
What you get
- Production-ready drawings and artwork files
- A tooling and unit-cost estimate from a real factory, not an estimate from us
- A packaging specification the factory can follow
- Revised files after the first sample if the sample shows a problem
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for design?
Design work is quoted per project, and no design fee is charged if you are not satisfied with the direction. Tooling and sample costs are separate, and always quoted by the factory rather than by us.
Can you work from a photo of a competitor product?
We can. Send the photo and we will tell you what can be copied legally, what needs to change to avoid a design right, and what the changes cost.
How long does a design project take?
It depends on how many rounds the concept needs and how quickly the factory replies on tooling. We give you a schedule with the milestones before we start, rather than a single number that slips.
